Easter Jeep Safari

For more than 45 years Jeep enthusiasts from around the world have congregated on the small town of Moab in central Utah. Moab is an outdoor lover’s paradise and a Mecca to those that like to hike, mountain bike, skydive, white water raft and to off-roaders alike.  Once a year Jeep owners from all over the country as well as a few travelers from around the globe show up to spend the week wheeling, checking out all of the other Jeeps and attending the expo at The Old Spanish Trail Arena.

There are trail rides all week that attendees can go wheeling with other Jeep owners to check out many of the areas most well know trails. Trails like Hells Revenge, Poison Spider, Cliff Hanger, Kane Creek, Metal Masher and many, many others have become synonymous with Moab. There are also several that are only open and used during the Easter Jeep Safari offering those that do get there regularly something different. Many of the day trips are sponsored by aftermarket companies like Superwinch, BF Goodrich, Genright and several others giving people the chance to spend the day wheeling with the company representatives allowing them the opportunity to ask questions and see the products in action. On these runs it isn’t uncommon to see some of the engineers from Jeep and Chrysler as well and many of the most popular magazine editors and staff out spending the days wheeling and doing photo shoots… “playing while working”!

For two days during the week there is an expo at The Old Spanish Trail Arena where the biggest names in the off-road industry set up booths to show off their latest and greatest offerings to the off-road community. It is not only a great people watching spot but a perfect way to get the chance to talk to these manufacturers in person and get answers to your questions, find out what is new or just being introduced to the market. Most of the vendors who have new or popular products will most likely have them on hand or on one of their display vehicles in order for people to get an up close look, ask questions and find out if it is something that they can use on their own rigs.

If you have a Jeep and haven’t been there yet, Easter Jeep Safari in Moab is one to put on your “Bucket List”. It is a week long opportunity to get out on the trails for some fun as well as see some of the most amazing Jeep creations ever gathered in one spot. If you’re not into wheeling or Jeeps but have the chance to get thru Moab there is still plenty to do by hitting some of the local landmarks like Eddy McStiff’s , The Moab Brewery or several of the small shops that line Main Street. If you like the great outdoors there is something in Moab for you to find to do so start making your plan to get there but, if you own a Jeep, get there during Easter Jeep Safari.
