Super Lift Off-Road Park – Ouchita Hot Springs

So you think you want to go wheeling? Those that know me are aware that every weekend I am in a different part of the country wheeling and attending one event or another. One question that I am asked most frequently is “where is your favorite place to wheel”? My response is usually the same, Moab… now I have a place that I not only want to see more of, I want to spend more time there getting to know the trails and all that this place has to offer! This is the Super Lift Off-Road Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

I have been hearing great things about the park for years and finally had the opportunity to get down there and see what the buzz was all about. I certainly have to say that all that I had heard was an understatement of what the park really has to offer as far as challenges and entertainment goes. We spent 3 days there and in those three days we were only able to see a small amount of the trails that make up the 1,200 plus acres that the park calls they’re playground. In that time we were able to get out and see that the easier trails were not designed for the stock vehicle or “first time” wheeler. The easier trails still needed a slight amount of clearance, skills or momentum to get thru some of the sections.

But when you get out and want to play with the big boys you better have your equipment dialed in and ready to go. When you start hitting the toughest trails the park has to offer you will certainly see that you will have a full day ahead trying to get up and over some of the big rocks.  I was impressed with the level of difficulty that some sections of the park waiting to be wheeled, many places brag of having something for the most experienced of wheelers and in some cases that may be but, the Super Lift Park does in fact have it.

If you want a great place to go play, test your skills, your vehicles capabilities or just want to go out for some challenging or scenic wheeling this place is one that I would highly recommend.  It’s not just a place for super modified or seasoned wheelers it is also a great place for people who may be new to the sport to get out and get some experience.
