Jeep Concept Vehicles

Those that have the opportunity to see some of the Jeep concept vehicles in person are often wowed by the simplicity in some models and creativity in others. Many of the concepts that we get to see at automotive events or in print are just a glimpse of what Jeep owners would jump at the opportunity to own.

Of the conversations I have with people while out in the field working; one of the concepts that I hear people refer to most often is the Gladiator. The concepts that seem to attract the most attention or have people buzzing is a platform that is based on a truck design. There have been a few of these “concepts” that appear to be very close to production type vehicles that seem to leave many of us wondering why they don’t become something we can buy. The Gladiator and Nukizer are two of the most popular.

Hopefully one of these days Jeep will eventually turn one or more of these concepts into production vehicles and people can buy a truck again like they were able to years ago with the Scrambler.

Here is a few of the concepts that we were able to check out while we were on a project at the Toledo, OH Jeep plant in 2013. Check out “Lower 40”, “The Willys” Concept, “Pork Chop”, “The Nukizer 715” and even one of the Lara Croft TJ’s. These are seen pretty regularly but keep an eye out for the J 12 as well as the FC and several other very cool concept vehicles that Jeep still brings to various media events and expos. There are a couple of old Willys that we had to throw in here too since they were all at the same event and in such great condition; we just had to share them.
